EQUIPMENT FINANCE EXPERT RETIRES FROM OAKMONT CAPITAL SERVICES

WHO IS BOB HOFFMAN?

A consummate professional with over 37 years of experience in the finance industry, Hoffman will be greatly missed by his colleagues and clients within the equipment finance world. Hoffman served as a Business Development Officer for the past five years with Oakmont Capital Services and has held similar positions in the equipment finance industry since 1983.

His previous experience includes roles with Hewlett Packard Finance, John Deere Credit, Harleysville National Bank, First Cornerstone Bank, and PNC Bank. Approximately 21 years ago, Hoffman also owned a company called Industrial Finance Inc.

“Bob gained a great deal of experience in the equipment finance arena and was a participant and a witness to many of the cycles that shaped how equipment financing is offered,” Joe Leonard, CLFP and Managing Member of Oakmont Capital Services, said.

In addition to his capacity in the finance side of the equipment business, Hoffman also volunteered with several industry associations. He was the long-term Treasurer and served as a two-term President for the local chapter of the AED (the DVAED). Prior to joining the equipment finance industry, Hoffman also served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Hoffman said that the most rewarding aspect of his work was helping people and their businesses through financing or leasing. “Customers were able to acquire the equipment that they needed to help grow their business,” he said.

Although Hoffman was a well-known fixture in the regional equipment finance marketplace, he is proudest of his role as husband, father, and grandfather. As he enters his retirement, Hoffman is looking forward to more family time.

“I have three granddaughters and a one-year-old grandson,” he said. “My grandfather was fantastic with his grandchildren, and I’m looking forward to paying that forward by spending time with my grandchildren.”

Leonard added, “We will miss Bob’s expertise and kind persona and thank him for his dedication to the industry. The team at Oakmont Capital Services wishes him a happy, healthy, and relaxing retirement.”
